If you are only looking for paid work then The Collective is maybe not for you. Please consider this before joining. The Collective is free to register with and to join. There are no fees to take part or to be cast in any of our films.

Team work makes the dream work. That is our motto at The Acting and Film Collective. We are all volunteers and everyone is equal with one goal, to help each other gain experience in the acting and film industry.
The Collective was founded in January 2026 by Stevie P Doyle and is run by Trustees with various levels of industry experience as a Not for Profit film production company.
We all have something to give, something to learn and that's what we're all about. We bring people with all levels of ability together to make our short films. You'll gain experience, build your CV and portfolio, make new contacts, friends, get show reels and certificates highlighting your work with us.
You may be interested in only acting or maybe you'd like to learn a bit about the production side and that's what we're here for because you don't you don't need any prior experience to join.
The best thing about the collective is there will always be a member you can learn skills from and can even write a script for us to film and even direct it yourself.
Everyone is equal at the collective, we believe that team work makes the dream work and when you work together as a team amazing things happen.
If you are 16 or over you can join, it only takes a few minutes and it's totally free. We are based in Manchester and film in the Northwest but you can join wherever you live as long as you are prepared to travel.
We usually film six short films a year lasting between 10 and 15 mins each and when you are a member if we think a role suits the profile you have given us we'll offer it to you. We film either on Saturday's or Sunday's from 9.00 am - 6.00 pm so you can fit filming easily around your day job. Why not join us and have fun while learning.
